About

One engineer. Working out of New Hampshire.

I build custom websites and web apps for small businesses that want more than a template. If you email me, I'm the one who answers.

I'm Riley James. I've been writing software professionally for years — for startups, for larger product teams, and on the side for people I know who needed something better than a template site.

rileyjames.dev is my own shop, built to work with small businesses in New Hampshire and around New England. I take a small number of projects at a time and give each one real attention.

My rule of thumb: if a piece of your business runs on a spreadsheet, a phone call, or a sticky note — and that's costing you real hours every week — there's probably a small piece of software that would fix it. Usually it's not expensive. It just requires someone who can build it.

I meet clients in person when it helps. I write plain English proposals. And I stay on the hook after launch — hosting, maintaining, and improving the site so you don't have to hand it off to a stranger later.

Based in

New Hampshire. Happy to travel across NH, southern ME, and northern MA.

Background

How I work

Small number of clients, fixed quotes, flat monthly care, month-to-month.

What I don't do

SEO-farm blog posts, template installs, or hourly billing for tickets.
